William “BJ” John Corn, 59, of Selma, IN passed away unexpectedly, Saturday evening, June 1, 2019 at IU Health, Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN. He was born April 10, 1960 in Muncie, IN the son of John and Judith (Femeyer) Corn. He was a 1978 graduate of Muncie Central High School.
“BJ” had worked more than 30 years as a body mechanic with Gaddis Chrysler Dodge of Muncie, IN. He enjoyed spending his leisure time participating in the Randolph County Antique Trachtor Club, attending classic car shows and collecting toy trains.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Alicia; his mother, Judy; two sisters, Margaret Moon (husband, Phil) of LaPine, OR and Judy Swift (husband, Brad) of Muncie, IN; nieces and nephews, Candice Martin, Dustin Corn and Jackie Borowicz (husband, Anthony); parents-in-law, Dennie and Jennette Sumwalt; brother-in-law, Allen Sumwalt (wife, Lori); sister-in-law, Sarah Lasker (husband, Nick); and additional nieces and nephews, Zac Coy (wife, Emily), Willow Sumwalt, Hunter Spain, Victoria Sumwalt and Evelynn Laskar. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, William and Margaret Femeyer and Edward and Rosetta Corn; and a nephew, Jeremy Swift.
A memorial service to celebrate “BJ’s” life will be 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at the Farmland United Methodist Church, 400 N. Morris St., Farmland, IN. 47340, with Sandy Lumpkin officiating. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5:30 p.m. to service time, at the church. Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
