Thomas Edward Kenworthy, 47, of Lynn, IN passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, February 13, 2012, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1964 in Winchester, IN, the son of Paul Edward and Sharon (Clark) Kenworthy. He was a graduate of Randolph Southern High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1987 from Ball State University.
Tom practiced his art of woodworking as a cabinet maker and various other carpentry jobs. His appreciation for sports and love for youth made him and exceptional mentor and encourager to youth teams, especially those in which his son was involved. He enjoyed spending his leisure time deer hunting and fishing. He appreciated nature, wildlife and their conservation. He was a member of the Spartanburg United Methodist Church of Spartanburg, IN.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Christy; a son, Tate Edward Kenworthy; his mother, Sharon of Lynn; a sister, Kelly Jo Hale (husband, Thomas) of Richmond, IN; his mother-in-law, Connie Conway (husband, Dennis Stirn) of Hamilton, OH; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a father-in-law, Jerry Conway.
A private family service will be conducted to honor Tom's life. Burial will be in Spartanburg Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5-8 pm Friday, February 17, 2012 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN.
