Ralph R. Newton, 86, of Farmland, IN passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2018 at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center of Winchester, IN. He was born September 14, 1931 in Blountsville, IN the son of Claude and Ora (Brown) Newton. He was a 1950 graduate of Huntsville High School. He honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Ralph was owner and operator of Newton Shell and Service from 1958 to 2006. He was a member of the Farmland Masonic Lodge #308.
He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Rusty (wife, Teena) and Randy (wife, Laurie), all of Farmland, IN; four grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Hannah and Cameron; and a half-sister, Susan Moistner of Farmland, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a loving wife to whom he was married November 20, 1955, Patricia (2005); a brother, Russell; infant brothers, Robert and Richard; a half-sister, Ruby Kemp; and a half-brother, Raymond Newton.
A service to celebrate Ralph’s life will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Cremation will follow. A private graveside service will be held at Buena Vista Cemetery of Unionport, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5:00 p.m. to service time on Friday, at the funeral home.
