Linnie E. Cox, 87, of Parker City, IN passed away early Sunday morning, August 26, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital of Muncie, IN. She was born November 10, 1930 in Randolph County, IN the daughter of Zachariah A. and Velma (Cross) Rozelle. She was a graduate of Parker High School of Parker, IN.
Linnie was a member of the Parker City Friends Church, Parker City Fireman’s Auxiliary, and a past volunteer as an EMT with Parker City Fire Department. She enjoyed spending her leisure time collecting stamps and sitting on her front porch.
She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Kelly Cox of Jefferson City, MO; three daughters, Anita Jennings of Parker City, IN, Joyce Smith (husband, Darrel) of Muncie, IN and Stacy White (husband, Gary) Ridgeville; 13 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Norma Rozelle. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Gerald L.; two brothers, Zachariah E. Rozelle and Elliott Kearney; a sister-in-law, Audrey Kearney; and a great grandson, Randy Jennings.
A service to celebrate Linnie’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery of Windsor, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 29th, at the funeral home.
