Earl Raymond Cummins, 93, of Winchester, IN passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Randolph Nursing Home of Winchester, IN. He was born April 26, 1923 in Detroit, MI the son of Frank and Madge (Druely) Cummins. He was a graduate of Fountain City High School. He honorably served in the US Navy during WWII.

Earl, a farmer, retired his trade as an electrician with Earlham College of Richmond, IN. He attended the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church of Lynn, IN.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Timothy Cummins (wife, Laura) of New Castle, IN; five daughters, Linda Groth (husband, Alfred) of Winchester, IN, Alicia Cummins of South Bend, IN, Theresa Railsback (husband, Steve) of New Paris, OH, Lucille Perry (husband, Shane) of Eaton, OH and Valerie Heaton (husband, Bill) of Peyton, CO; two sisters, Nell Cheek of Richmond, IN and Mary Johnson of Rustburg, VA; 14 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Peggy (Norris) Cummins; a son, Gary; and a sister, Joan Bashum.

A memorial service to celebrate Earl’s life will be 11 am Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN. Cremation was selected. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery of Lynn, IN. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 10 am to service time on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Wesleyan Church of Lynn, IN or State of the Heart Hospice of Greenville, OH. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
